Accelerating Odisha’s Electric Mobility Transition!
KIIT TBI – Genesis Centre, with support from MeitY Startup Hub (Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology), recently hosted a focused roundtable discussion aimed at strengthening the electric mobility ecosystem in Odisha.
The session was organized in partnership with WRI India and Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster Foundation, bringing together diverse stakeholders working across the EV value chain.
The roundtable saw participation from 30+ EV start-ups and 14 ecosystem enablers, including industry experts, G2 & G3 incubators, and support organizations. Discussions revolved around emerging market opportunities, localization and manufacturing potential within the state, and key challenges related to policy clarity, access to finance, charging infrastructure, supply chains, and skilled workforce availability.
The collective insights and recommendations from the session will contribute towards building a strategic roadmap to strengthen Odisha’s EV sector, attract investments, foster innovation, and create sustainable green jobs, positioning the state as a growing hub for electric mobility in eastern India.
